Fresh air and a bit (of knitting) on the side….
The blog has been somewhat neglected over the past couple of weeks. Autumn is in full swing – cold and damp with the occasional frosty morning. Work is frantic. Exercise and knitting are struggling for space in my itinerary! !!
I was walking by the canal a few days ago in Kidderminster. This photo is taken just round the bend from Caldwell Bridge. I love the rust colours of the leaves but not the shorter days. Less likely to walk in the dark 🌜
On the knitting front I have started working through my Christmas gift list – no details available at the moment 🤔
But I have been picking up the knotty cowl from time to time for a bit of stress relief. I have another 15cm to go…
But look at all the ends to weave in! That is when the stress will start 😉

Oh my 😎 cool 🙂 I have trouble tying a double half hitch or a windsor knot. That’s why I haven’t worn a neck tie in yrs ❗️ You have amazing works 🙂

I must admit that was my first thought, all those ends to weave in, but put on your favourite movie and it will be done in no time.

Think of weaving in the ends as making your work whole. Your hands are healing the fabric.

It will be lovely when it’s finished. I think we all get a little bit of a panic on when we see ends to finish off – love the comment above that says ‘think of weaving in the ends as making your work whole’ – I might borrow that one day! As for autumn here in Kent, similar to Kidderminster, pretty, some of the leaves are amazing but quickly coming down from the trees. It’s chilly too, some days, but others it’s bright and skies are blue which makes a cheery daily walk,

Great job on the cowl (definitely NOT a pattern that would be ‘relaxing’ for me to knit) but YOU did (are doing) a GREAT job! The photo looks like a very peaceful place to walk or just stand & relax, looking into the water.

This is such an amazing place! And your smart for coming there with your knitting! We need that in the pandemic! I love knitting, never tried it outside of the house though! Need to get out with it more ♥️♥️♥️❄️❄️❄️

What an unusual pattern. Dont worry about the knot spacing. I often vary cable placement on scarves; I think it is a nice affect.
