Idle musings…
On one of my walks around Jubilee Gardens last week I found this:

I don’t know how many times I have walked past this without noticing the owl. Time for a close up:

What a handsome chap. I think he may be a barn owl?
Meanwhile at home I have made this little owl from one of the kits in my stash.

I wouldn’t like to hazard a guess as to what type of owl he is? Kamikaze Owl !!! I am going to give him to my mum who used to be a Brown Owl, not the feathered kind that hunts small rodents but a Brownie Guide pack leader.
Woolly wishes,
Jane ♡♡♡
Apologies about the dragon in the title. I promise you it was an owl emoji when I was composing the post. A confused Jane xx

What a splendid barn owl and your knitted owl is such lovely present for a former Brown Owl. I hope the river has subsided a bit and you are able to get out ok now? We are having some exciting weather at the moment aren’t we!

Thank you Lisa. I am currently working out where I can cross the river to get to work tonight??? Exciting is a bit of an understatement 😃

I would venture to say YOUR owl is a COOL OWL! (hence the need for a warm cap!)

I love your knitted owl! So cute! And I also like the wooden owl sculptures! How fun to see them! Not sure Fresno has anything quite like that.

Thank you I am quite pleased with how he turned out. I didn’t realise Bewdley had anything like them. Just goes to show you don’t know what you’ve got on your doorstep until you go out and look 😀

Ooooh – I love this! My neighbors have an owl in their garden not too different from the one you saw. My poor dog was very concerned the first time he noticed it. (He’s a very good boy, but not the brightest bulb)

Thank you Suna. The wood carvings are fantastic, especially when you think they have been done with a chainsaw 🦦
