A bit like Cinderella…
Places have started to open. I called into Hobbycraft yesterday but was so overwhelmed by the choice I didn’t buy anything – very good for the stash!
I have managed to book a hair appointment, not until 30th April but so excited π
We visited N’s granddaughter on Sunday, her first birthday. We sat in the garden while it snowed but so good to visit.
N’s daughter had some slippers which I thought wow I could make some of those.

I have made one so far. So like Cinderella I only have one slipper π
Woolly wishes,

Such a darling slipper!

Glad you were able to ‘get out’ & visit family! (they’re mentioning possible ‘s-n-o-w’ for us here tomorrow. It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve had it this late but sure hope it really doesn’t happen!).
The slipper is cute – good job, Cinderella! Keep knitting!

Ohh, it’s cute, especially with the pompom! I’m glad that you could make an appointment, and I hope it will all go well until then! (Also – happy belated birthday to the little one!)

Thank you. Quite pleased with the pom pom but even more that I have a hair appointment coming up – I’m so vainπ

Nah you’re not. I think haircuts have become so important to a lot of people because they represent normality, which we all crave. And then, the UK has been doing a heck of a job with the vaccination campaign, which is great! π

I’ve had one dose of vaccine but my hair hasn’t been cut for over 12 months and I have been dying it myself… Being a woman of a certain age my hair is a right state π

That looks exactly like the slippers we made in 4-H, too many decades ago to count! Even to the pompom, although we only used one color. I never made more than one pair, because I found the garter stitch too textured on the bottom of my feet. Hope you don’t have that problem! Although maybe after all those decades, my feet aren’t as sensitive as they used to be, either –

They are pretty simple. I’m quite happy with garter stitch sole. Nothing sensitive about my feet π

But what a cute slipper it is! I am so happy to hear things are improving in your community. Hope springs eternal.

Thank you Regina. Don’t think things will ever go back to how they were but a little bit of familiarity is most welcome π

Good work on the slipper πI love that feeling of βI could make that!β Sometimes I try it and find out it was harder than it looked, though.

Thank you. Have to admit I have more disasters than triumphs. So quite pleased with this little win π

Lovely Cinderella slippers there – it does look nice and soft and comfy. It’s good to see family and friends eventually isn’t it? My hair is currently the longest it’s been since my sixth form days – and that was a very very long time ago. π

Mine hasn’t been this long I a number of decades but it’s so horribly straggly and I’m not saying anything about the dodgy colour? She’s certainly got her work cut out π
