I wanted to share this, not because I am a fan of Mr Rossetti, although I am a fan of his sister Christina’s Goblin Market and I suppose DGR did do the original illustrations. However, I did find the comments quite amusing 😅

Burying pies with your lover would be a bit weird – even for poets! 😀 I had totally forgotten about Goblin Market as we read some of it at primary school. Reading it again now there are some very sinister undertones there – or perhaps that is my world weary cynicism?
