SELF-HELP #25

From one crisis to another πŸ€”

So the river is going down and there is just the mess to clear up. Although it is raining again today β˜”β˜”β˜”

Boris visited Bewdley the other day, that is twice in 12 months, he’s almost a resident!!!

And now the news is full of COVID-19 πŸ˜‡

The supermarket shelves are not as full as they usually are and the poor staff are rushed off their feet trying to keep the shelves full. We are not going to panic buy. In the event of self-isolation we will be rooting round at the back of the cupboards and in the depths of the freezer. Perhaps some of those tins that have been there forever will finally get eaten. So we may have some dodgy meals but we won’t starve…

On a brighter note I have started my walking regime again. It feels so good to get some fresh air and see the Spring flowers 🌷🌷🌷 and the early blossoms 🌞

Spring has sprung. The garden is a mess. We may run out of food but I have plenty of yarn in the stash to see me through any possible isolation.

Woolly wishes,

Jane β™‘β™‘β™‘

  1. Yes, we’re of the same mind. The cupboards could do with a clear out and the freezer definitely needs a use up. I have left instructions with daughter that if I get whisked away to any sort of quarantine to look after the dogs and send me some knitting or such like! Other than that the project bag is the first thing I would grab but the house is already well stocked! πŸ˜„

      1. I can sort of understand the food thing but don’t condone it but the amount of loo paper some people are buying would keep a family going for a year or more???
There storage space, obviously, isn’t full of their knitting stash πŸ˜†

  2. “Sorry, can’t stock up on toilet paper – I can’t displace my yarn supplies!!” I love it – yes, an excellent excuse to knit – and I’m also well stocked.

If you are able, it would be great to see photos of what’s blooming there – nothing here in northern New England yet. But it feels so good to be out of the house more, with warmer weather.
