Taking matters into your own hands πππ
My partner has made himself a mask for when he is out shopping. I think he was fed up waiting for me to make him one.

And how did he make it?

He has used 2 men’s handkerchiefs, 2 rubber bands and a bit of tape. He can hook it over his ears, whereas the ones I have made are tied at the back.
Meanwhile in other news I have dyed my hair. There wasn’t a great deal of choice and I wanted red so here goes:

A bit brighter than I was expecting but an improvement on the roots. And hopefully my hairdresser can sort it out when she is allowed to reopen π
Have you been tackling anything yourself during lockdown?
Woolly wishes,

Very inventive! Most people probably don’t have real handkerchiefs any more. And the hair looks great. I cut and dyed my own hair. Since put the turquoise/pink combination on, it has settled down a bit and doesn’t look quite so bright.
I have been baking bread about every 3 days because I have the time and it’s cheaper and easier to do it myself. Now that #1 son cleared up the family room a bit, we have been able to use it as an exercise room again which is good. Though I’m sure we’ll be glad to see the gym reopen.

Ooh I love your hair!
I’m about ready to chop my own hair off – it hasn’t been cut since Christmas I think, and it’s beginning to get in the way!

Thank you. Mine can grow as long as it likes so long as I don’t have grey roots, hence the dye job π

Thatβs certainly red and it looks fabulous! Well done on the mask making too.
Iβve cut hubbyβs hair which was ok, I did my sons for years but he at least has curls which hide oopsies but Johns is fine and straightish. And I did my own colour. Iβve just started having colour on my grey again after being natural for 3 years so I donβt want to revert again just yet! π

Well they do say necessity is the mother of invention! Hats off to your husband for making his own mask! What I really like is the duct tape on the backππ·

I have pointed out he will need to take it apart so that it can be washed π·

I made my own for work as I wasn’t given a great deal of PPE but I think if they ease lockdown over here we will be expected to wear masks π·

We have been told that if school goes back in we will not be provided with PPE and will have to provide our own if we want it

I delivered a few masks to friends tonight; they return to work tomorrow.
I’ve got three knitting projects going, depending on mood.
The weather has been stunning – I’ve spent time daily pulling wood out of the woods to process for heat next winter. But the ticks are horrid!
At least I’ve caught up with myself, and am no longer napping 2 – 3 times a day!

Wow busy, busy, busy! Sorry to hear about the ticks but all that fresh air and vitamin D from the sun must be doing you the world of good AND firewood for next winter π€

lovely hair colour, and well done to your partner for making his own mask! Maybe you’ll take pity on him and make him one without duct tape?

Well, Jane, I like the color and I think it will last for a while and soften nicely. I love your husband’s ingenuity.

Thank you on both counts. Neil is getting a bit cocky so need to limit the praise π

love your hair color!!! It’s not to bright at all, that color runs in my family, unfortunately mine is dark auburn. I have been wanting to switch my bedroom and craft room because the bedroom is light and larger, and the craft room is larger and lighter. So I tackled that last week woot woot!! Have weeks of organizing and going through stuff but it will be worth it. π

The room swap round sounds like a major task but we’ll worth it in the long run! β€

haha that didnt come out right, the craft room was the smaller and darker one. But everything is good π
