These boots were made for walking π₯Ύ
May has been and gone and what a scorcher! Another busy month at work. Lots of walks with clients, ensuring that they exercise but social distance as well!

Walking is great but I could do with it being a little cooler. However, I am sure I will be moaning when I am still having to go out walking and it is hammering down with rain π€
I sent 3 incubator blankets off to the warm baby project and received a lovely reply but they currently have enough knitwear so I will need to find something else to occupy my needles.
I decided to join the LKknitalong and did a couple of practice squares with yarn from my stash. I bought the correct yarn from LoveCrafts. It was so lovely I spent a week just admiring my purchase but I have finally done a trellis shell Square in the merino yarn. It needs a bit of blocking but quite pleased with myself. Three more squares to do! And the next patterns are available on Thursday π€

Looking forward to a bit of rain during June in the hope of reviving the dust bowl that is my garden.
Hoping everyone is keeping safe now that the lockdown is easing π
Woolly wishes,

It only seems five minutes ago you were showing us the flooding at the bottom of your garden. Itβs all a bit screwy isnβt it. Shame they have enough blankets. Do you send to a specific hospital or a central? Perhaps another hospital needs some.

Going from floods to drought is very mad. I probably need a break from baby blankets but when I start again I will pass to my local knit and natter group who send where needed π

I would like our little crafty group to do something like that but Iβd like it to be for a local cause and I havenβt found one yet.

That looks like a very pretty square, I imagine it will open up nicely with blocking.

Thank you that is very kind but I had loads of attempts before I actually mastered it β€

It looks like it’ll be a little cooler for a few days – a break from walking in all that stifling heat. Nice square there. And I love how the yarn arrives from that company – those bags are so handy!

Walking in the rain today which was bliss.
The bags make it feel very special and yes very useful afterwards β€

I like the choice in color for this. Will it be another blanket?

Your square came out nicely. I like it. I need to get back into making knit squares to put together into a blanket for myself.

Thank you. The next squares come out today. I am already 3 squares behind. I spent so long admiring my new yarn β€

Who can blame you? Buying and admiring the yarn is my favorite part!

the trellis square looks very complicated … I’ve never been able to knit. I’ve tried several times but gave up as I have to left hands.

It has taken so many attempts to get to that. A real learning curve. β€
