Still plodding along …
The last part of the Let’s Knit nautical KAL is now available, it is fair to say I am lagging behind but still soldiering on π

This square is called wave and pod I have completed both of them but they do need blocking, hence I have pegged it out on a branch to show the twists and cables.
The intarsia square has been put to one side and will remain there until the end I think.
Currently working on something called the oyster square which is really pretty but quite a faff! Lots of wrapping wool round the needle twice and dropping extra stitches and then working on multiple stitches at a time. Ok for a small square but I wouldn’t want to do a big piece of work in this, regardless of how pretty it is π€

And the KAL goes on…
Woolly wishes,

Lovely creativity, Jane and I am with you on not doing larger pieces where the stitch is a phaff! β€

Thank you Jane, don’t think the family would put up with the bad language for long if I was doing a bigger piece π

That oyster stitch does look nice though, but I’m with you too on the faff-levels! π

Yes, glad it’s only a small piece I like to watch my work grow at quite a fast rate π

Jane, that is a beautiful stitch. I would imagine for a large project, it would be very labor-intensive.

Itβs going to be a lovely blanket once done. Iβve just done my October cal and said to myself itβs a nice stitch but you have to always watch placement so wouldnβt want to do a big one. I do like one I can crack on with watching tv!

I feel as if I am doing this on a wing and a prayer but it’s a nice way to try out new stitches π

Beautiful squares! The one with the cables and twists is beautiful. But I love the Oyster stitch one. So gorgeous. I believe I have done something similar on a mermaid shawl. I can’t wait to see more of your squares. Love how you clipped it to a tree for your photo. I will have to remember that technique when I want to photograph a project that wants to curl up π

Thank you Ginny. I am a fan of cabling but I do like the oyster stitch square but there is a lot of work for one stitch so only small projects from me π€
