Posted yesterday, received today so I can show and tell…
The chunky cardi is off my needles and away π I have actually made 2 of these for N’s daughters. Sadly one of the girls had a bit of a wait for her’s but I finished it on Saturday, blocked Sunday and posted yesterdayπ

I bought some better hangers for Show and Tell purposes but N and B have squirreled them away for their own outfits – BOYS! So I had to make do with one that the dry-cleaning came back on π£ It doesn’t hang that wellπ€
The pattern came from Let’s Knit and is made using Stylecraft chunky, parchment. The pattern is worked over 10 rows:
Rows 1-3 Knit, rows 4, 6, 8, 10 k2, p5, rows 5, 7, 9 Knit
The nice thing about chunky knits is they knit up quickly although as I was nearing the end not quickly enough. And then there was the issue of buttons!!! Happily I bought enough when my local wool shop was open between lockdown 2 and 3!!!
Celebration time, all ready for packing up and posting πππ

A couple more items to finish and then the Christmas knitting is all done and then I can fill my head with something new π But my knitting basket looks almost empty now the chunky cardi has goneπ
Woolly wishes,
Jane β‘β‘β‘
Looks so cozy!! Are you going to make one for yourself too?

Truth be told I am a bit fed up with the pattern – I have the attention span of a gnat!!! Maybe next winter π

That is just lovely. I do like simple but effective patterns. They will be warm and will look good. Isn’t it a nice feeling getting a project done. ππ

Thank you Lisa. My stepdaughter is currently working from home and sitting at a computer for long spells so needs something cosy. And yes it is a fabulous feeling getting something off the needles and making itself useful π

Thank you Claire. There were a couple of sneaky peaks when I started the first one. N’s girls are twins so have the same to prevent arguments and they read my blog so hence the lack of posts π

It turned out great! I have to agree that if you are making a gift for someone you kind of canβt blog about it that much. Especially if the recipients read your blog!π§π

Looking through the stash to see what I can use up rather than buying more yarn. Non-essential shops (yarn shops are essential for my well-being) are closed at the moment so I can only get more yarn on line. π£

Oh congratulations!! That one looks super cosy! The pattern/yarn combination is great, and I love the colour (and the pockets)!

Thank you Julia. I chose the neutral colour so that they could wear it with most things β€οΈ

Thank you Pam. Quite a nice rythmic pattern but glad I chose the buttons before the cardi was finished β€οΈ

Well done. So nice to have something appreciated when you’ve put in hours of hard work. If you are like me, your knitting basket won’t be empty for long!

Thank you. It is nice knowing something that I have made will be worn. My knitting basket is far from empty. I am trying to be disciplined and get a few more bits and pieces finished before I start something new π€
