What a difference a couple of weeks make!!!

I shared a picture of this view last month with the flood defences holding the river back but now look at it π
However, look what the river has left behind…

It’s nice to be able to use the bridge again π
Woolly wishes,

Glad you can use the bridge again. Love the look of that row of buildings, especially the cafe!

That must be a relief to be able to get to work more easily. Hurrah for cafe and bacon butties!

Certainly is. Cafe is only doing take away but at least they are still able to trade π

Isn’t it. They are now saying that we won’t have the temporary defences on this side of the river as they are too dangerous (they breached on the last two floods). We will get a proper barrier but not until 2024. Best keep the Wellington boots handy π€

Oh, boy. A lot of damage can occur between now and 2024.

You could hardly think it possible. Raw nature is an amazing thing, even if weβre not always fond of it.
