Flaming and raining…
June seems to have flown by. All of my excitement at the end of May has waned. Work has been incredibly busy and I barely feel as if I survived the month but I have a few days off now to recharge and get back on track 😎
I have sold one item at the craft shop so a long way from making a profit but thrilled that someone liked it enough to pay for it.
I have started a baby blanket in white (a divine bamboo and cotton mix) which I am working on when I have the energy to focus but the rest of the time I am playing around with bits of yarn and a hook with the intent of making a blanket for Lucia N’s little camper.
And my nephew finally sent me a photo of him modelling the cable knit that I recently sent him. 😆
So bring on July, I’m looking for energy and inspiration! !!

Beautiful flowers! Good luck with the sales! I’ve never had much luck and after about 100 people saying, “oh I could make that,” I generally resort to giving my crocheted items as gifts. 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️

Pretty flowers – clematis? I just noticed two of my clematis are out this week – which is amazing as I thought the plant had died last year. It might be as neighbours have cleared overhanging trees so there’s more light in that spot. June hasn’t been exactly inspiring for me either, I have started a couple of things and finished nothing! Well done with your sale. I was pondering yesterday about all the lovely seasonal craft sales that are just not taking place these days – it made me feel so sad that people’s hard work isn’t getting appreciated right now. I have been involved in sales in the past – know just how much effort you put in and sometimes get little out! It mustn’t put everyone off though – life will resume – and a friend’s son has just put his Uni life on hold to become a potter so there must be inspiration and real plans afoot out there!

It is a clematis, they are such glorious flowers. I have to admit growth in my garden is pretty hit and miss 😉
My ambitions are quite modest when it comes to selling my makes. If I break even my hobby pays for itself. Thank heaven there are young people who are willing to risk becoming craftsmen without them we would have nothing to brighten our day ❤

Nephew Nick makes an appearance wearing the cable knit on post “WIP WIP hooray 2” though I say it myself I am quite pleased with the fit. My sister did a good job with the tape measure 😉

Congratulations on the sale! That is awesome. June really did fly by. Here we have had lots of rain, lots of high temps and high humidity. Staying inside is best these days. As I am typing, it has gotten really dark outside and we are under another severe thunderstorm warning. Lots of long, rolling thunder. Maybe I should head to the basement 😉
Oh, I want to thank you for the market bag inspiration! I dug out my pattern and yarn and knitted one up 🙂 I will show pics on my blog the next time I post. I hope you find some inspiration for your next projects.
