Buzz buzz buzz busy little bee š
I’m still dabbling with crochet and have been trying out amigurumi. I have made these little bees using a pattern from Hannah Cooper. Amigurumi creatures are fun and very sweet but they are quite a faff. A lot of fiddling around for hours to produce a tiny creatureš¤
They haven’t even made a big dent in my stashššš. However, they have taken up all my focus so great little mindfulness activity š
I did try posing them in my honeysuckle but the yellow one had a bit of a nose dive! Anyway back to my dabbling. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Thank you and yes I did. Part of the fun is imagining how I will picture my finished bits and pieces. The photos never look like they do in my head, the yellow bee is a prime example š

Aww they are adorable!! I totally hear you on the fiddlyness, though – I always marvel at the teeny tiny creatures you see on ravelry or other social media, but MAN! I don’t think I could work something hat small and detailed without wanting to set in on fire multiple times.

Thank you Julia. Next time I will choose something with fewer legs. I’ve list a couple of legs somewhere, no doubt they will turn up when I do the cleaning š

Aw, they’re cute!
Yeah, amigurumi isn’t great for stash busting because it usually uses so little, and it is time consuming and a bit of a pain sewing all the bits together but the end results are usually so cute and they make for great gifts – I love seeing the reactions people have to the amigurumi I give them.

Thank you. Stash is still huge. N asked if he could give one to his granddaughter, I feel a bit mean but I’ve said no. All those legs and little bits must be a choking risk š She can have one when she’s older!

Yeah, some patterns are too suitable for little ones. For amigurumi that works great as gifts like that, I recommend the Edwards Menagerie book, they’re supper cute and a little bit less of a choking risk.

Love them! I have several books on amigurumi but have only made a couple of them. They are cute, but youāre right, they are a bit of a pain.
