More string things….

The kitten has allowed me to do a bit of hooking so I have been perfecting my string bags. Sadly the ends of my knitting needles drive him wild so avoiding those at the moment. I have hissed at him as recommended by my kayaking friend but he just looks bemused and then has another go๐ Avoidance is my current policy….

Maybe a stupid question but don’t they get stretched out of shape when carrying groceries? They’re so nice and it would be a shame to do that. Just wondering.. ๐

There’s no such thing as a stupid question. There is a bit of stretch in them which is why they’re not made too big ๐

Thanks.. I know precisely what I should buy and put in them then. Spices, naan-bread and yarn!! ๐

I’m glad you’ve found a craft that works despite the kitten! My Mom was sure that spritzing with a water bottle would deter kitten play in the wrong place – until she got a cat so plush he didn’t even notice! He’s elderly now, living with me, and no longer wants to play with yarn/string/fabric. Sleep on it, maybe…

My sister suggested a quick spritz but as the curious little chap has snook into the shower a couple of times I’m not sure. Maybe a super soaker ๐

Try using a circular needle instead. No ends to play with and the added benefit of kinder to your arms and hands too ๐

The color variety of your bags is wonderful. Iโm especially partial to the nautical looking blue bag with the white stripe!
