Back to the stash…
My posts have been few and far between over the last few months and now I have Covid!!! I have been positive for the last 8 days and I’m really fed up. At least the weather is nice so I have spent a lot of time sat in the garden looking at all the jobs that need doing but really not having the energy to do themπ£
I have delved into the stash and found some Oxford blue aran that I bought from Aldi a few years ago and on my pattern shelf I found a pattern that I bought for the princely sum of a penny when Littlewoods was closing down (and that really was years ago) so I am combining the two to keep myself occupied.

I can’t think why I bought Oxford blue because it’s so dark it’s nearly black and hence very tough on the old eyes!!! Just as well the weather is good as I’ve been knitting in the garden in natural light, much kinder to the eyes.
What has everyone else got languishing in their stash I wonder?
Woolly wishes,
Jane β‘β‘β‘
Here’s to hoping you are feeling better soon. Enjoy spring and the extra knitting time, it’s hard to come by π

Funny I cannot log in with WP, ho well ! Sending you all my best brainwaves for your recovery. Cases are rising up like crazy here, and regulations have been lifted up, no more masks even indoors. This is a beautiful pattern. I’m knitting from my stash only for this whole year as I am in a yarn no-buy year long project π

Sorry to hear you have Covid. I hope you recover fast. Love that sweater. All the cabling will keep you occupied, that’s for sure. I am making a point of digging out stash and using it this year, and even giving some away if I know it’s never going to get used otherwise. Take care!

Littlewoods was one of my haunts for knitting yarn and patterns back in the late 70s and early 80s so this was a real trip down memory lane for me. Thank you. Hope you recover soon from your bout of Covid.

Back in the day Littlewoods was quite expensive for me so I only ever bought things in the sale but miss them now π€

I love that cable pattern. Although in the photo, the yarn does not look dark! I have too much in stash to enumerate – for the next week of travel and knitting, I have four projects with me – one in progress, two to wind yarn into balls both for socks), and one waiting for my cousin to send measurements for a sweater. We’ll see what happens first!

So sorry you are not feeling well. I do hope that you are recovering well and will be back to 100% very soon.
I hate to even look into old stash. I know I have patterns from over 35 years ago. I know at one point I got rid of a lot of yarn that I didn’t think I would use, but I know that I still have some baby yarns that are 25-30 years old. EEk!

Thank you Ginny, feeling much more like myself at last π
I do love hearing about other people’s stash, makes me less guilty about my own π
