My new year’s resolution was to attend knit and natter at the local church as often as work would allow. I attended the first 2 Mondays in January and then what do you know I was rota’d to work every other Monday 😩 but I wasn’t idle I put my needles to good use so that I had something to take in when I finally got there.

I had a lovely couple of hours drinking tea, eating cake and, of course, knitting with the lovely ladies at All Saints Church this morning. I’m finding that focusing on my needles is helping me not to dwell on sadder thoughts. However, there is a limit to how many things you can knit for personal use, so I’ve made trauma bears, little cardies and tiny hats for preemie babies. Counting the rows and stitches focuses the mind and with such small items there is almost instant gratification at having completed something. And then rewarded with tea and cake 😊

Apologies for my absence and hoping everyone well.
Woolly Wishes
Jane ♡♡♡
Yes, You’re BACK! (Know that you are missed) Reading a little ‘inside’ your writing I’m guessing you’ve been through something sad (not asking for details). I fully understand that knitting CAN take your mind off that for awhile.
LOVE your completely items! The bears have an ‘attitude’ – cute little wonky smiles! Love all the other baby things, too – GREAT JOB (as ever)
GLAD to see you back – jump in whenever you can, we’re here to support you!

Jane, it is always wonderful to hear from you. I am happy to see you again. Funny how life has its own plans for us no matter how hard we try to do things? You handled the change in schedule in your stride, and that is good. You have been busy with your knits and the fact that they are for Littles in need makes brings the healing full circle. Stay well and knit on, my friend. xoxo Regina

How cute are those!! I love the idea of trauma bears and the preemie items! Even though I only crochet and don’t knit, I agree with you that focusing on stitches, and just creating something, is a great help to keep the mind occupied, and tiny items do give instant gratification!😀
