CHARITY KNITTING

Stash nibbling for a good cause πŸ’Ÿ

I was delighted to hear from Jo at Age UK this week. She advised that the Big Knit was back on and would I help out.

She didn’t need to ask twice. Trendy little Innocent Smoothie bottles will be sporting little woolly hats again at the beginning of 2022 and Age UK get 25p for every one soldπŸ˜‰

Check out http://www.thebigknit.co.uk

Here’s one I made earlier, well on the last campaign!!!

So once my Christmas knitting is done this is how I will be occupying my needles and what a great way to use up those yarn ends 😊

Woolly wishes

      1. Age UK is a charity supporting the elderly in the UK. I have included the link to the Big Knit on my post which tells you all about it. There are even patterns if you need them 😊

  1. Wow, that is something I’ve never heard of before. Maybe because I’m not in the UK ? Lol πŸ€” I used to crochet finger puppets to give to my students as prizes or rewards, and some of these look similar only bigger. It sounds like a really fun and good causeπŸ˜€

  2. Thank you. It is fun going into the supermarket and seeing all the bottles wearing little hats and it is a great fundraiser for Age UK who work with the elderly ❀

  3. I am a very big fan of knitting and the last time there was the big knit, I loved seeing it in the shops. This is such a great way to raise money for charity! I hope you have lots of fun doing it!

    1. Thank you. Knitting helps me keep focussed on what is important and not worrying about things that I have no control over. I love seeing the little hats on the bottles. I believe these hats will be in the shops next January 🀠🀠🀠
