A bit behind…
December is well underway and I am well behind with the old Christmas knits๐ถ
In my defense I have pulled something in my back so I am currently hobbling around like an even older lady than I actually am!!!
Sitting is a problem so hence behind with my knitting.
Didn’t actually complete anything last month so the WIP list is growing:
2 beanies awaiting pom poms (I normally can’t wait to start pom pom making)
Knotty cowl still awaiting a few more centimetres (putting that one off because of weaving in all those ends)
The chunky cardi still needs a bit more work.
The pink Guernsey just needs sewing up (never my favourite task)
The colour work is complete on the top of the Christmas stocking just the leg, heel and foot to do.
LKKNITALONG is on hold until the Christmas knitting is complete.
But on the bright side I did make B a birthday cake ๐
So it is December – bring it on!!!
Woolly wishes,
Jane โกโกโก
speedy knitting? Why rush this year? Take care.

Christmas is going to be a quiet affair this year, no visitors so no one to see the pile of unfinished knitting in my lounge ๐

Iโm behind on my knitting as well. Luckily itโs mostly for me. ๐

Oh no – hope you are on the mend soon. They’ll all still be there when you return to them. I’ve intermittently had a bad back and it is so debilitating so do whatever works to get through it.

Thank you. I am getting more mobile. Planning to give up doing laundry as that is how I did it ๐

Sorry to hear about your back. Hopefully the projects can wait to be finished – no urgency at all – unless they are Christmas gifts. I ran behind with projects a few years ago – gave a friend an IOU note and a piece of wool and told her she’d be getting her gift a little late – it caused a giggle rather than a big disappointment. Hopefully that would work if you had a similar dilemma. Here’s wishing you a quick recovery so you can back to doing what you’d rather be doing . x

Thank you. Love the iou idea. We’re doing Christmas in the spring so not too much pressure ๐

Great idea. A friend here did Christmas on 25th November as her family are going abroad for work this week for a few months. I think moving the date takes a lot of the pressure off. Well done!

An excellent and exciting list of WIPs (reminds me to get my own project started!). I wish you a speedy recovery, Jane. ๐

Oh no … get well soon!! Maybe you could tackle little bits and pieces of sewing in ends, now that you cannot knit? Fingers are crossed that this is over soon, and that you can sleep!

It is the sitting that is the problem, I am getting so desperate I considering standing up knitting but thank you for your kind wishes ๐

Hi Jane!! Hope you finish all of your knitting. Do you have a good technique for pom poms? Every technique I’ve tried comes out sad looking. ๐

I use one of those plastic pom pom makers and loads of wool ๐
