STASH-BUSTING IN 2021 #10

Or tackling the stash a bunny at a time…

No progress to report on the cable knit aran this week. I have started the front but I have had back to back shifts at work so the little progress I had made had to be frogged 🐸 I should learn my lesson and not work on bigger projects when I am tired πŸ€”

I have been tinkering with toy making over the last few weeks

The knitted bunny is for N’s granddaughter for easter.

The crochet bunnies are a work in progress. I have a bag full of bunny bits. I think I have mentioned before I have terrible problems working in the round when attempting crochet. I just keep losing countπŸ™ƒ So the yellow bunny is crocheted backwards and forwards and then lots of seams to sew up. The mauve bunny can be called amigurimi but he doesn’t have 2 identical arms or 2 identical legs. A slight deformity due to my poor numeracy skills πŸ˜‰

A have few more bunnies to complete, ready join the crew.

Woolly wishes,

Jane β™‘β™‘β™‘

  1. Love these. I have exactly the same problem with amigurumi – the stitch count is always wrong! but I just take no notice and sort of wangle it. I have a friend who does the same! but everything looks ok when it’s done . . .

  2. Awww they are so cute!! Maybe I should make one for my niece after all … we’ll see. (I’m not hot on seaming a lot of small parts right now πŸ˜‰ ). I love the colours you put on the bunnies!

  3. awww everyone loves a bunny ^^
I enjoy making amigurumi, and find the crocheting in the round the easiest part lol. I just use a stitch marker, in the last stitch, and move it up as I go. That way, I don’t even count my stitches although I do check from time to time, after so many round of increasing or decreasing..

  4. What an adorable bunch of bunnies. They all look lovely and just perfect for Easter. I can’t crochet in any form that is publicly acceptable and don’t have the mindset for knitting toys so am seriously impressed by all of them. Fab-u-lous, to quote a certain ‘Strictly’ judge! πŸ˜€

    1. Thank you Lisa. Not a fan of all those fiddly bits but feeling a bit jaded so thought something different might ease the monotony of current lockdown – work, eat, sleep, repeat!!! Xx

  5. Your bunnies are adorable. I have avoided making amigurumi yet mainly because I am terrible at sewing. I would love to make something for my Granddaughter but am afraid she’s end up eating a part of the animal because the sewing came undone. Yours look absolutely cute and cuddly.
