desk-tidying again…
I have been knitting woolly pullies for old jars again, turning them into attractive (I think) and useful desk tidies.

the little one is just a bit of faux cable which I have done before. I am quite pleased with the way the criss-cross cover turned out and really pleased with the cabled cover – always love a bit of cabling π
I’ve also made a few labels for the goods that I am displaying at HS ART. I’ve always enjoyed a bit of cutting and sticking π
Looking forward to a glorious weekend.
Woolly wishes,

These little jar cozies are super cute. All the cabling (sp?) really makes the project!

Must laugh I’m never sure of the spelling of cabling, it doesn’t look right but how else would you write it? Is it actually a word??? And thank you π

What a wonderful idea! May I ask what pattern was used? I have a few jars that I use for tidies, and making them lovely would be a great way of stash busting!

Aran weight yarn on 5mm needles, 45-50 ISH stitches and then a bit like a Swatch, just using twists or cables to experiment. Length depending on size of jar. One seam to sew up π

I love the look. And that sounds a lot more appealing than cotton thread. If I ever make jat cozies again maybe I’ll try something like these. βΊοΈ

These are great I bought some boxes to use on my dressing-table, but they just don’t feel like me so I don’t use them. Now I’m wondering whether I’d prefer them if they were wearing little knitted jumpers!

Yeah I have a really long list of “stuff I want to make”. . . .But then again I do need more storage solutions for my tools. π
Are those bamboo knitting needles or crochet hooks in the big jar?
Hmm… maybe I need to go hunt up some jars.

Bamboo knitting needles, nice and tactile. There are a couple of crochet hooks in the little jar, mixing it up a bit π

I have really long bamboo crochet hooks that have those same ends. I really need a place for them. I don’t use them all that much.
