It’s been a while….
My last post was in October when I had dug out a few WIPs to finish off. I’m sorry to say my little blog fell by the wayside but I had a lovely email from Pam enquiring after my wellbeing, this community is so kind.
I have cut down on my screen time over the last month or two, for 2 reasons. Firstly I find screens are quite tough on my poor old eyes and secondly there is so much bad or unkind stuff out there😢
The knitting has carried on although I haven’t done a big project for a while. I did a couple of Christmas stalls and sold a few hats and mittens, I always get a buzz when people buy something that I have made❤️
It’s very wet over here in Blighty at the moment, the river is rising and Bewdley has its flood defences up in an attempt to prevent flooding. So expect some pictures of flood water soon🐟🐟🐟
Thank you for bearing with me.
Woolly wishes,
Jane ♡♡♡
Good to see you back! I agree about all the unkindness in the world – what is wrong with people? I keep meaning to blog but manage to convince myself that my stuff is just boring . . . then I think, no I should have a little rant now and then . . . happy new year!

Thank you. There is a lot to be said for a good rant and the blogging community seems to be so much kinder than some other social media platforms 😊

I completely understand avoiding the negativity! I am super strict with what I allow to fall in my Instagram feed!!

Thank you. It has been such a mild winter and now we’re having loads of rain ☔️ It is scary what we have done to the planet 😢

You do what you need to do for you – I avoid all social media (the blogs I enjoy are the exception, but no Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) to keep the negativity, and waste of time! – at bay. I do enjoy seeing your knitting when you post that, so I hope you continue!

I totally understand your mood. It’s difficult to get motivated during the winter, with its darkness and dreary weather.
I just posted a blog last night about the increase of over 3 minutes of daylight over the last 24 hours here in Alaska! Take your motivation where you can find it.
I put my needles down at 11pm last night when I realized I couldn’t remember how to start the thumb gusset in a fingerless glove! Too tired. Yikes. Today is a fresh day and the knitting is again going well.

We’ve gone past the shortest day but won’t really notice the days being longer for another 3 or 4 weeks 🌞🌜🤪

Our little river is well up and I thought of you and your floods the other day. I hope they’re not too bad for you.

Thank you. We just lose the untidy end of our garden to the river but neighbours have had to completely adapt their ground floors to accommodate the flood water😢

Yep, time does not care about us, LOL It has a way of going by without us even noticing. Teh blog seems to be one of the things that I let go of often, too. Not that I want to, but other things take priority. I forgive myself and know that I do what I want or can when I want or can. Sometimes we just have to let go of screentime; for our eyes and for our health. Glad to hear all is well with you and that you are back 🙂
