WINDING UP JANUARY!

A new year, same old challenges. ..

January has been a month full of challenges. We have had floods and heavy snowfall as well as being locked down.

COVID-19 has been rampant so other than work and a bit of walking life has been spent indoors. A great excuse to attack the stash some might say? But my time has been spent finishing off Christmas presents and doing bits and pieces.

Not the first place you’d look for a fox!

I have been making little woodland creatures from a kit supplied by Let’s Knit.

And I have been dabbling in storeage:

Cabled cosies covering jam and pickle jars

Pattern taken from Let’s Knit issue 166.

Moss stitch little and large baskets

The larger basket is made with double moss stitch and the small one is made in moss stitch. They are both made from one cake of Aldi yarn originally bought to make a cowl.

New month looking for new inspiration with the stash πŸ€”

Woolly wishes,

  1. Love all these. I’m not good with “little” projects and smaller needles.. however a bit tempted thanks to your adorable creations. Mock cable is a blessing! Where are the animal patterns? Could you post a link?

  2. Cute projects. The fox is my favourite. We all had high hopes for 2021 but so far it’s turning out to be the same old crap, eh – hope covid is behind us very soon. xx

  3. I love those little animals. I really can’t cope with all the fiddling so really admire those who can. Those yarn bowls are a great idea. I got one a few years ago made by a local potter. I dropped it. Sigh. Yours are a much better option! I hope you managed to get to work with all the snow and rain. It’s been quite a winter so far hasn’t it?

    1. Thank you Lisa. Normally I’m not a fan of faffing around with a few stitches but can’t fix my head into starting a large project at moment so just messing about with some of the bits and bobs that I have around the house πŸ˜‰
