Started in 2020 but finished in 2021…
I finished the knotty cowl the week before last and got it posted.

I have given it to my sister but I do think it will be rather warm but it was an interesting set of stitches.
Can’t get round to sticking to a big project so still keeping my hands busy making animals and storeage ideas.
Woolly wishes,

WOW that looks really intricate to make! It’s great!

Thank you Julia. The big drawback was all of the ends that needed weaving in π

Yeah, I can imagine that! (Working on a scrap sock right now, and I’ll try to weave in a few ends at a time)

Sadly I left mine to the end π€

Yes thank you big sister. It’s lovely. D wants to know why my knitting never looks so neat as yours. We off for a windy walk today, I will wear my new knotty cowl. Vxx

I hope it’s warmer in your neck of the woods. Just come back from a walk and I’m absolutely frozen! β

Here in Michigan right now it’s 9 degrees F. (with a -13 degree wind chill). This week past and the one coming up are all looking like VERY cold/frigid temps. The good thing is: when it’s really cold we don’t get very much snow! YAY! Stay warm!

My complaints about the cold seem rather lame compared to what you are enduring Pammie. But good news about the snow π

Thank you Amanda. It does look quite effective but I have never had to deal with so many ends π€

That;s VERY INTERESTING – I’ve never seen that stitch/stitches done before! VERY NICELY knit, by the way! Stay warm & healthy!

Did you have to kitchener stitch to join it? All the rest I’d be OK with, but I get confused in the middle of weaving that many stitches!

I used a mattress stitch. I don’t know if that is the same thing? π€

No – Kitchener stitch is what one uses on the toes of top down socks so that they are seamless.

I have never attempted socks π

Weaving ends is not my favorite but it’s almost always worth it, haha!
